In my words

I bolt PRO-Series 32P Transmission for SC on before a race weekend, not after one.

A part that loosens under vibration is a part that fails at the worst moment, so thread-lock everything.

I link straight to the listing so the price you see is the price it sells for today.

What Pro-Line says about it

  • Tunable Sealed Differential
  • Updated and Preset Racing Style Slipper System can be Adjusted to Dial In Intial Take Off Traction
  • 3mm Thick Aluminum Motor Plate
  • Diff Spins on Huge 10x16x5mm Ball Bearings for incredible Load Capacity
  • Fits: Slash 2WD, Electric Stampede 2WD, Electric Rustler 2WD, and Bandit

Questions I get about this set

Aluminum or plastic?

Aluminum holds geometry and transfers the hit; plastic bends and comes back. On a rough outdoor track I take plastic in the front and aluminum in the back.

Do I need special tools?

A hex driver set that actually fits, thread-lock and a bench. Rounded hardware costs more time than any part on this page.

EXCELLENT and needed upgrade for high-torque motors

It stood up to the Castle Creations 6400k on blacktop. What more do you need....?

Beautiful

These guys know what they are doing. If you have had one of the older models or the new one you know there is no substitute. One of the best upgrades for slash as far as im concerned. Keep it up guys. They even gave me express delivery for no extra charge. Ordered the 1st got it on the 3rd

Great transmission upgrade for brushless power

very durable transmission for a brushless 2wd slash. broke my stock trans two days after swapping to a castle creations sidewinder 4 combo and bought this transmission and am more than satisfied, I run paddle tires hard and have had no problems in 2 months

cheap junk, save your money. truck is race truck, 1st lap a-arm bracket broke.

just cheap plastic. . compared to say rpm its a night and day difference. Was hoping plastic would be more like that but looks like its worse than the stock traxxas plastics by a longshot. Truck was a slash vxl 2wd, used strictly as a race truck at a track. Doesn't get bashed on. Very disappointing, feel robbed of $120.00. When it was working the rear differentials where just a tad to tight for my liking but that's an easy fix. Very quiet and slipper clutch had lots of adjustment to it. Just got a bad one or the durability factor isn't there for competitive racing.

Fragile

Look closely at the photos of this transmission. Notice that the bottom portion is very thin on the bottom. Using in a drag build, I snapped the transmission in half just in front of the lower wheelie bar/ bumper mount on the 1st outing. I am going to try a little epoxy to strengthen the replacement case. I will also add the R Type wheelie bar mount to distribute the stress.

With Traxxas redesigning their 2wd transmission for the Drag Slash, I don't know if this transmission still has a place. The cloned Team Associated slipper setup is nice and all but doesn't really make much difference that I have noticed. The 32P gear is a bit overkill in a 2wd and limits the fine tuning of the ratios. I wouldn't purchase again if I had it to do over.
