In my words
I keep 1/8 Buck Shot S3 Front/Rear Buggy Tires Mounted 17mm White (2) on the Buggy & Truggy shelf because the track is dry packed dirt and grass that rewards a mid compound.
It is cut for 1/8 scale and the wheels take a 17mm hex, fitted front, mounted and glued, so it goes on the car the evening it arrives. Tread depth matters more than most people admit — a shallow pin on heavy ground just skates.
Sizes and colors come and go on this one; the listing shows what is actually in the box today.
What Pro-Line says about it
- Already a National Championship Winner!
- Similar Pin Size to a Hole Shot but Lasts Significantly Longer
- Massive Forward Traction
- Directional Side Tread similar to the SwitchBlade
- One side provides added side grip and improved steering (Pins Out)
Questions I get about this set
Which insert goes in?
Inserts are not included with this listing, so budget for a set. A closed-cell insert holds shape under load; an open-cell one lets the carcass work. Heavy cars and high-bite tracks want the firmer option.
How long will a set last?
On dirt I get a full race day from a soft compound and two or three from a medium. Carpet and astro are gentler on rubber and harder on pins.
