In my words

Menace HP BELTED Speed Run 18 Tires Mounted on Mach 10 Black is the Buggy & Truggy rubber I reach for when the tread clears instead of packing.

and the wheels take a 17mm hex, fitted front, mounted and glued, so it goes on the car the evening it arrives. A carcass this size wants the right insert far more than it wants a different compound.

I do not hold inventory — the button sends you to the listing, and it carries the current price.

What Pro-Line says about it

  • Highest speed-rated tires PL has ever made
  • Lightweight and Durable
  • BELTED Tire Handles Extreme Power and High Speeds with Ease
  • Racing-inspired Tread and Low-Profile Carcass, Great for Speed-Runs
  • Made in the USA, since 1982

Questions I get about this set

Do I need to glue these?

These arrive mounted and glued, so there is nothing to do but bolt them on. Pro-Line tires want thin CA worked around the bead in quarters, not one bead of glue chased around the rim in a single pass.

Which insert goes in?

Inserts are not included with this listing, so budget for a set. A closed-cell insert holds shape under load; an open-cell one lets the carcass work. Heavy cars and high-bite tracks want the firmer option.

Bad db hoon experience? Buy these tires reset the car, and hang on!

These tires are way better than the hoons for several reasons. 1. Un sprung weight. These tires weigh so much less than those rolling bricks! 2. They last longer. 3. The tire compound is about perfect. Not to soft not rock hard like the white hoons. The other hoon colors we won’t even compare because they are so out classed by these tires. 4. The wheel hex WILL NOT strip out on your second run or first crash. 5. They stay glued on. 6. Allows more motor power to reach the ground instead of turning those “things “. 6. The do not balloon. Hoons balloon a bit. You can see it in the wear pattern. 7. They allow for more gearing range not having to accommodate again, wheel weight. 8. You can cross unexpected water patches without destroying your car. They have an actual meaningful tread pattern that more than look cool. 9. You can absolutely achieve a higher top speed with these type of tires rather than hoons every time. Now the negative part of a five star review. They are only rated to 120mph. I am far beyond that but I think the car will survive a blowout far better with these than the hoons for one reason. The low profile of the tires. When I blew out hoons, the sidewalls of those tires are so big that the dimension of the tire drastically changes when it blows and your just hanging on because of the violence of blowout and all the sudden you have one or two really little wheels digging in and pitching your car in whatever direction. The “rim” on these tires is so tight to the wheel that “ I think “ I and you will have a good shot at just slowing down without crashing and wallet draining flipping down the street off into a ditch with a trail of all your cool broken parts…. Grp and others I think figured this out years ago. When you start speed running the hoons seem to be everyone’s starting point. Dont do it. Last, tires like this will also make you realize, if you are running hoons, you setup is trash… The crazy weight of the hoons mask all kinds of actual setup mistakes…. Because of there light weight, they just do their job. Not ballooning, no vibrations, good footprint. They respond great to the correct setup, alignment, downforce, and spring rate that complements car weight ( everyone’s car is obviously different, I run 8s setup that weighs more, a 3s setup weighs less, for example) for the speed and setup you’re running. Obviously I like these tires and have had some crazy hoon failures… It can’t just be me….. buy these tires. You go faster than 120? Buy um anyway! Oh ya, hoons are fake “ gear ratio “ there shear diameter 107mm ballooning to 110 or so. You WILL have to gear up to get back to you target or previously achieved top speed. Then you’ll figure out from all the above how you can now go way faster. Im not even a proline guy. I destroyed every set of badlands I bought. Very unhappy with those. I personally don’t believe there are actual off road belted tires in existence to hold up to this power on this size rc. The end.

Bad tire

All tires were good except for one. The tire was glued on backwards , threw off the whole balance.

Felony 8s upgrade

I have put in five speed, runs around a hundred miles an hour. So far they have, been just great, strong, very well. Glued. I am buying another pair today. Very good fit traction in value for money
