In my words

Lid Skid Body Protectors SC 110 and 18 MT lives on the All-Surface shelf, cut and trimmed for one job.

Window masks and a decal sheet come in the bag, which saves an evening of cutting.

I do not hold inventory — the button sends you to the listing, and it carries the current price.

What Pro-Line says about it

  • Protect Your Freshly Painted Body!
  • Made from High Strength Black Nylon
  • Universal Fit – Place in Strategic Locations to Fit Your Application
  • Multiple Sizes Included: Two 4", Two 3", Two 2" & Four 1" Pieces
  • Hardware and Nuts Included

Questions I get about this set

Does it come painted?

No. Clear polycarbonate ships with a protective film on the outside and the overspray film inside, plus window masks. Paint goes on the inside surface.

Will the body posts line up?

The listing carries the full fitment table. Mounting holes are marked but not drilled on most shells, so trim to the line, test-fit on the chassis, then make holes one at a time.

Works great to protect your RC truck...but $18 price!!!???

Bought these to try to better protect the roof and corners of my Arrma Big Rock body. Overall, they do what they are intended to do and are easy enough to install. Not much else to say about chunks of injection molded plastic.

I will say the $18 price is outrageous given that these are nothing more than cheap injection molded parts with a few screws. But, I couldn't find anything else like these so went ahead and purchased.

Very sturdy and easy to install.

Many sizes and options for any body size. Nuts seem to grab bolts really tight. Perfect small investment to help protect bodies.

Durable and effective protection

These RC car skid protectors are a fantastic upgrade. They’re tough, lightweight, and provide excellent protection against scrapes and impacts, keeping the chassis in great condition during rough runs. Installation was quick and easy, and they fit perfectly on my car model. The only thing I’d suggest is offering more color options to match different RC car designs. Overall, they’re a great investment for extending the life of your RC car and withstanding tough terrains.

must have mod for all bashers!

i love these things! absorbs all the effects of skidding inverted 30ft across asphalt. or flipping over backwards from too much throttle at 45mph. even when tumbling end over end 1/2 dozen times or rolling over and over and over and over sideways too fast to count the number of times.

i would recommend these to any basher tired of buying a new shell every 15-20 uses.

Never gave them four stars cuz they do seem to wear down pretty quickly

They help protect the body but when you're on the roof they do wear down pretty quickly when you're sliding on pavement, you have to strategically place them so the body doesn't hit the pavement

Amazing protection

I was running it on asphalt for about 20 minutes and crashed a ton at high speeds. The 2 pictures are right after install and after running it. I could use a couple more of the single dots to help the back edge of the roof and the high points of the fenders but without this kit my new body would already be banged up. The install is straight forward. First put the body upside down and roll it on a table to see where it will contact when flipped. Then use a small drill bit so the screws were snug without the nut being on to get one side somewhat mounted to be able to drill the other hole without it moving all over the place. When putting the nuts on definitely use a power tool, they are not treaded and trying to wrench on both sides would be annoying. I'm definitely putting these on any new bodies I get in the future.
